What is RIMOM?

The RIMOM is two-day FREE dental clinic is held once a year and provides free dental care to the uninsured, underinsured or anyone who cannot access dental care.

The Community College of Rhode Island's Dental Hygiene clinic at the Lincoln campus is transformed into a fully operational large-scale FREE dental clinic equipped with more than 25 dental chairs, digital radiography, a sterilization center, and electronic dental records.

At the clinic, patients will initially undergo a health and dental evaluation, and will then be provided with treatment on a first-come, first-served basis, based on their oral health needs.

Services include cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings, x-rays, tooth extractions, root canal treatment on front teeth only, oral health instructions, small denture repairs and a limited number of partial dentures to replace missing front teeth. These are provided by licensed dental professional volunteers.

The Rhode Island Oral Health Foundation's 5th Annual Mission of Mercy free dental clinic provided care to over 720 patients during the two day event at the Community College of Rhode Island campus in Lincoln. The event consisted of over 650 dental/medical and community volunteers.
