Dr. Zackary T. Faber, a third generation orthodontist, received his dental degree from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland (1998) and earned a Master of Science degree and certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine (2001). He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and belongs to the American Association of Orthodontists, the Suffolk County Dental Society and the Edward H. Angle Orthodontic Society. Dr. Faber is an assistant clinical professor of Orthodontics at SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. He volunteers at the Dentofacial Deformities Clinic and the Pediatric Residency Program at Cohen’s Children’s Hospital. He also co-chairs the Long Island Chapter of Smiles Change Lives. Dr. Faber is also the only orthodontist on both Long Island Cleft Palate Teams (SUNY Stony Brook and The Hagedorn Cleft Team at Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center at Northwell). He maintains a private practice in Orthodontics.
Amrita R. Patel, DDS, graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 2011 and completed her residency at the Nassau University Medical Center. She is a general dentist in private practice with her father, endodontist Dr. Rohit Z. Patel, in Westchester County, New York. She chaired the New York State Dental Association New Dentist Committee and served as the new dentist representative on the ADA’s Council on Dental Benefit Plans for 2020-21. She is also among the recipients of the 2021 ADA 10 Under 10 Awards.
